Excursions in the Schladming-Dachstein Region
In the same place where, during the winter months, countless guests from around the world zoom down the pistes on skis, in summertime we discover sheep grazing peacefully on the lush green alpine meadows of the Planai.
In summer, the Schafalm is a popular excursion destination, especially for coach tours, clubs, families and businesses.
Our traditional-style hut with scenic terrace treats guests to a relaxed atmosphere as well as magnificent views of Ennstal and the Dachstein.
More convenient even than the Planai 10-passenger gondola: arrival by tour coach via the 12 kilometers-long Planaistraße, accompanied by wonderful panoramas of the Schladming-Dachstein Region.
For bus groups with Schafalm reservations, we are happy to leave a discounted toll ticket for you at the toll station. Simply notify us you are coming well in advance.

Opening times: 9 AM - 5 PM
Spaces for coach parking: 15
Toll charges: discounted toll ticket for groups in combination with a Schafalm reservation (price 75€ - 2025)
Guided city- and hiking tours: at any time, by arrangement
Live entertainment/musicians: at any time, by arrangement
Timely reservations are required, Evening events are possibly by arrangement at any time for groups from 40 guests.

The Schafalm has been a permanent fixture of "Gruppenreisen Steiermark" for a long time now; a great network of excursion destinations and hotels in Styria. By attending various trade shows and making various sales trips, we try to get to know as many tour operators as possible personally.
