ALPINE SUMMER

At the same place where countless guests from around the world go hurtling down the mountainside on skis in winter, during the summer months peaceful sheep graze the lush green meadows of the Planai.

Directly below the mountain station of the Planai 10-passenger gondola, the Schafalm offers welcome space to relax and escape the stresses of the outside world. The unique panorama terrace at 1800 meters above sea level, with views of the imposing Dachstein massif, is always a real treat for the eyes.

Your gondola ride up the mountain is free with the Sommercard.

The "Sommercard" is valid after 1PM on your arrival day, and all day long on departure day! 

The 13 km long Planaistraße toll road also brings cars/buses to the Schafalm year-round. At the end of the road is a big car park which is just 250 meters from the Schafalm.
